widgEditor “is an easily installed, easily customisable WYSIWYG editor for simple content. It replaces existing textareas with an improved editing pane using JavaScript, therefore if you don’t have JavaScript (or your browser doesn’t support HTML editing) it degrades gracefully.”

Mac Designer’s Config is a great post from a designer new to the Mac world, who is interested in the tools and configurations used by other designers. As I plan to make the full switch myself this year, I find the information and discussions within the comments to be very enlightening. There are several applications listed that I haven’t heard of, so I am even more excited to try them out when I have my own set up.

If you are running any version of MovableType, you need to install the newly released patch which closes a hole that “malicious users to send email through the application to any number of arbitrary users.” If you do not want to mess with a full upgrade, just install the plugin. It took me less than three minutes to download and install it on my MT site. A simple fix to a giant problem.
