The Strangerhood

Rooster Teeth, the team that brought us Red vs Blue has just launched their newest machinima series: The Strangerhood. Based on the game engine for The Sims 2, this sitcom should prove quite funny given their outstanding work on Red vs Blue, and the intro video they have posted.

They also have a nice explanation of the word ‘machinima’ for those who are not familiar with the term:
> It’s a quickly growing method of animation where people make short length films and use videogame engines for the animation instead of drawing by hand or using traditional computer animation. For more information, you can visit the Academy of Machinima Arts & Sciences. They’re way better at explaining this stuff than we are.
