No, I didn’t send you a virus

in General

Having received five return e-mails from several ISPs stating that I am sending out a virus I thought I would post here to let y’all know that any e-mail with my address containing an attachment is not from me unless I specifically gave you a heads-up. The latest major virus to hit the Net (W32/Sobig.F-mm) likes to spoof e-mail addresses, so it appears to have come from me, even though I do not use Outlook. For that matter, my machine wasn’t connected to the Net during the period that the virus e-mails went out.

So, hopefully you have all upgraded your virus checkers to prevent infection of your system. If you get e-mail from me with an attachment and I haven’t told you to expect it, just delete the message. I can always re-send it if there has been a mistake.
